Fr. Dr. Ninan K. George



Fr. Ninan K. George has been lecturer at the Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam since 2011, following several years as faculty member and Vice Principal of the St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary (STOTS), Nagpur. Following a Bachelor in Arts (B.A.) from the Mahatma Gandhi University, Fr. Ninan K. George began his theological education at the Orthodox Theological Seminary at Kottayam where he completed the Graduate in Sacred Theology (diploma) and Bachelor in Divinity degree under the Senate of Serampore. He earned a Master in Theology from the Federated Faculty for Research in Religion and Culture, Kottayam under the Senate of Serampore.  He obtained a philosophy, Theology and Canon Law, Bangalore.

His principal areas of teaching are Introduction to Theology, Ecclesiology, Eco-Theology and Christian Theologies in India.

Fr. Ninan K. George had served earlier as the Registrar of the Divyabodhanam training programme for laity. Currently He is the BD Registrar of the seminary. He is also a member of the Liturgical Revision Committee and Theological Commission of the Indian Orthodox Church.

Fr. Ninan K. George is the author of “Beautiful Are You O Holy Church”, a study on the text of the Order of Church Consecration of the Indian Orthodox Church, published by CSS, Thiruvalla(2011) and “Re-envisioning Indian Orthodox Identity” published by ISPCK, New Delhi(2015).
